Welcome to the Steve Ligtelyn Productions Web Site. I am a freelance DP located in the beautiful suburbs of San Francisco. Weather you need a simple “on camera” shot or a multi-camera interview to be feed out simultaneously you've come to the right place. I bring with me almost two decades of experience in television and with no attitude.

I am professional and courteous. I can easily handle impatient CEO’s and celebrities, kids, deadline pressure and sensitive issues. In other words I have seen it all at least until I see something new. I always return phone calls and Email's promptly and do my best to give you immediate answers to your scheduling needs.

Most of my experience comes from shooting network news stories and live shots however I also have lots of experience shooting reality shows, long format news magazines shows, commercials and high end corporate events.

I currently have 3 camera packages including the new Panasonic HDX900 HD Camera as well as Betacam SP gear. Because of my technical background, I always maintain a high level of performance from my cameras. I also have a very extensive light kit with HMI's and Chimera light banks; 6 Lectrosonics wireless mics complement the audio kit. Check out the Gear page to get a better idea what I have.

I have worldwide travel experience and my equipment can be flight ready. I live only 30 minutes away from 3 international airports. I can be dispatched anywhere in the world 24 hours a day or if you want to send me driving most of my gear fits snugly in my four wheel drive Suburban. I’m a member of the, San Francisco Bay Area Press Photographers Association, IBEW local 45 and NABET local 51& 53 for ease of movement in union venues.
